This includes delicate information such as email IDs, user IDs, passwords, credit/debit card details, bank account details, etc. (Thanks google).

Are your dog poop bags really compostable?
Yes, our bags are fully compostable (legally we couldn't state this if, in fact, it wasn't true).
They have been certified to the highest European standards - EN13432.
The criteria for the industrial compostability of packaging are set out in the European standard EN 13432. EN 13432 requires the compostable plastics to disintegrate after 12 weeks and completely biodegrade after six months. That means that 90 per cent or more of the plastic material will have been converted to CO2. The remaining share is converted into water and biomass – i.e. valuable compost. Materials and products complying with this standard can be certified and labelled accordingly - via European Bioplastics
We went the extra mile and ensured our bags were also certified OK compost HOME by TUV Austria
Belgian certifier TÜV Austria Belgium had developed the OK compost home certification scheme, requiring at least 90% degradation in 12 months at ambient temperature.
On account of the comparatively small volume of waste involved, the temperature in a garden compost heap is clearly lower and less constant than in an industrial composting environment. Composting in the garden is, therefore, a more difficult, slower-paced process. TÜV AUSTRIA’s innovative answer to this challenge is the OK compost HOME certification system to guarantee complete biodegradability in the light of specific requirements, even in your garden compost heap.
IMPORTANT - WARNING
When home composting, ensure that the compost is intended for the use of plants, trees and non-edible flowers. DO NOT USE IN COMPOST INTENDED TO GROW FOOD FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
What are your dog poop bags made of?
Our bags are made from:
Plant-based materials - Cornstarch plus PLA & BPAT.
PLA - (Polylactic acid or polylactide) is a polyester derived from renewable biomass, typically from fermented plant starch, such as corn, cassava, sugarcane or sugar beet pulp.
The manufacturing process for PLA is also more environmentally friendly than that of traditional plastics made from finite fossil resources. According to research, the carbon emissions associated with PLA production are 80% lower than that of traditional plastic
PBAT (polybutylene-adipate-co-terephthalate)
Is a fully biodegradable polymer. When buried in real soil environments, it breaks down completely and leaves no toxic residues behind. PBAT-based compostable bioplastics will decompose due to the action of naturally occurring microorganisms such as fungi, algae and bacteria.
Where are your bags manufactured and why?
Our bags are ethically made in China by an ISO certified company.
Why China?
Grab a brew.... For months we tried to source products made in the UK as we wanted to support our fellow UK businesses during these tough times. However, most didn't share our sentiments.
We were either laughed out the building, ignored, required to order astronomical amounts or flat out refused any help. Those that did offer an olive branch, told us that they sourced theirs from China (why pay a middle man when you can go to the source direct right?).
One company did indulge us and informed us that the company were looking to expand into the market. They assured us that they'd keep our information on file - ready for when they make the leap.
In short setting up a small business is a minefield (there were days when I almost abandoned the idea).
I hope you understand and respect the choice we made.
Around 98% of compostable dog poo bags on the market in the UK are made in China.
Our bags are shipped rather than flown to the UK. We are one of, if not the only poo bag company to offest our emmisions by planting trees with Ecology - see our homepage for more information.
Can I put them in my garden or recycling waste bin?
Our advice is no, however, check with your local council to see if they have industrial composting facilities - if not it seems you're at the forefront of change, the council is playing catch-up.
You can home compost them, place them in a wormery.
But remember, only use in compost intended for plants and non-edible flowers.
I usually put my used bags in the public bins when I'm out and about, is this ok?
Whilst the ideal conditions for the bags degradation is lacking in those bins (the process will take longer) and the subsequent landfills. Have the peace of mind that it's not plastic sat in the landfill, releasing harmful methane gas into the atmosphere.
We advise that you dispose of the bags responsibly either in industrial or home composting facilities - DO NOT HANG ON TREES (yes some idiots do this) LEAVE AT THE SIDE OF ROADS/PATHS/FOOTPATHS AND KEEP OUT OF CANALS/RIVERS/STREAMS AND THE OCEAN.
Where are you dog shampoo bars and balms made?
We personally handcraft all of our dog shampoo bars and balms in our home in Cheshire (whilst juggling regular work, life and our little girl).
We record batch numbers for traceability and have completed a food and hygiene course to ensure a safe and clean working enviroment.
All our balms are lick safe.
What method do you use to make the dog shampoo bars?
We use the hot process method. Some use the melt and pour method, one we originally considered. However, after contacting an M&P manufacturer about the use on dogs they stated/;
"our bases have not been formulated for the use on dogs. If you would like to use one of the bases for a soap being used on dogs or any other animals, this would be down to your own testing"
The above statement made us reconsider our approach - hence the hot process we use - we suggest you always ask how your dog shampoo bars are made as the melt and pour bases contain alot of ingredients that made our list of harmful chemicals in dog shampoo to avoid!
What ingredients are used in your dog shampoo bars and balms?
We only use cruelty-free 100% natural ingredients (carrier oils and essential oils, all of which are sourced from reputable UK companies).
Our soaps contain no SLS, SLES, parabens, palm oil, detergents, sorbates, silicones, preservatives or chemical foaming agents.
Aren't essential oils harmful to dogs?
When used incorrectly they can be harmful to dogs, never ever use neat on dog or leave essential oils out where they can be easily accessed.
Soaps that contain essential oils shouldn't be used on pregnant dogs/puppies under 6 months old or cats - yes some people do this (our bars carry a warning label).
Being honest google has a tendency to throw a lot of scary and unreliable information at you.
But after research, we concluded that the inclusion of 2% of essential oils is a safe amount for dogs. However wanting to be extra careful, we decided to include a maximum of 1.5% into our soaps.
We cater to your dogs sensitive sense of smell. Those over-powering baby powder and human copy shampoos aren't good for your dog.
